Setting out the roadmap for future education, research and innovation activities to ensure that Europe takes full advantage of emerging opportunities for Galileo, GNSS and their applications in navigation |
The ERIG Project is nearing completion and results will soon be available through this website
The ERIG team undertook a European survey of GNSS-related activities in education, R&D and innovation (ERI).
The ERIG project covered:
- university courses or modules with a GNSS element (undergraduate and postgraduate levels)
- training courses run for engineers and technicians (by public or private sector organisations)
- National or regional applied R&D programmes or projects with a GNSS focus
- Examples of measures to promote innovation and support technology transfer which the GNSS community could find useful
The findings of the survey have been condensed into a set of conclusions and recommendations for further action. These will be provided through this web site and through a public presentation of the results planned for Autumn 2008. Details will be posted here soon.
