erig_logoidea1.jpg  Setting out the roadmap for future education, research and innovation activities to ensure that Europe takes full advantage of emerging opportunities for Galileo, GNSS and their applications in navigation

The ERIG Project is nearing completion and results will soon be available through this website

The ERIG team undertook a European survey of GNSS-related activities in education, R&D and innovation (ERI).

The ERIG project covered:

  • university courses or modules with a GNSS element (undergraduate and postgraduate levels)
  • training courses run for engineers and technicians (by public or private sector organisations)
  • National or regional applied R&D programmes or projects with a GNSS focus
  • Examples of measures to promote innovation and support technology transfer which the GNSS community could find useful

The findings of the survey have been condensed into a set of conclusions and recommendations for further action. These will be provided through this web site and through a public presentation of the results planned for Autumn 2008. Details will be posted here soon.
