Earth Observation programmes generate many sorts of valuable information that decision-makers and end-users can exploit to improve the efficiency of humankinds' activities, in the view of promoting sustainable development and protecting our environment.
Data obtained from EO instruments cover a wide range of topics: climate and weather, geology and geo-hazards, vegetation/agriculture, land use and population growth, oceanography, military/humanitarian...The ability to transform these data into useable products and services is a continuous challenge for the downstream value-adding services due to the highly dynamic and complex structure and variable maturity of the industry segments involved.
ESYS helps organisations to understand more thoroughly the current and future status of the EO value chain to make better use of our environment ensuring that the right investments by public and private sectors represent value for money. The insight and experience of ESYS clearly enables us to devise business case development, market analysis, cost-benefit approaches and technology assessment, for clients ranging from research organisations to government bodies and commercial entities in Europe and worldwide.
With more than 15 years experience in consulting on the applications of EO data and the environment, ESYS continues to work in close collaboration with the European Space Agency on many environment-related projects, notably providing expert strategic advice on the major Global Monitoring for Environment and Security programme
